🚀 Futurize and AstraZeneca announce the 2nd Cohort for its African Healthcare Incubator #FuturizeU, through the A.Catalyst Network. The 2024 cohort runs from August 12 until November 12, continuing our mission to nurture early-stage, health care focused university startups with the support of the A. Catalyst Network’s Africa and Egypt Health Innovation Hubs. 🌍 With over 150 applications, the program admitted the top 14 teams from partner universities across Sub-Saharan Africa. Throw-back to September 2023, when the Africa Oxford Initiative invited 25 Innovation Fellows to a week-long bootcamp at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and Keble College, Oxford.   The bootcamp is an opportunity for these talented #entrepreneurs to participate in hands-on workshops and engage with their peers from Africa and in Oxford. It covers essential topics for deep science #start-ups including intellectual property rights, regulatory considerations, fundraising strategies, and building the team.   The week concludes with a Demo Day during which participants present their start-ups to the wider AfOx networks for investment or other offers of support (shout out to BioEscalator and Panacea Innovation)
