We’re excited to reveal CARNEVALE's latest project with The Hip Hop Museum (THHM). The Park is a virtual space inspired by the legendary Bronx parks where hip-hop first emerged. Our team designed and developed The Park to provide a home for ongoing experiences—an outdoor theatre for live music and performances, a giant screen for shows and presentations, and a basketball court—for hip-hop fans worldwide. Experience The Park now! https://lnkd.in/ghcq2HGW --- 🗓️ Save the date! November 11th, when The Hip Hop Museum presents an Old School Park Jam. Guest DJs will bring back the energy of those first Bronx park jams when young artists transformed parks into the foundation of the hip-hop movement. In the meantime, read about one of our first projects with THHM, creating a virtual experience where you can walk through the Bronx Subway Station near where hip-hop was born with your own digital avatar: https://lnkd.in/gUUf9yCJ

🍿 Movie night! Last week under a starry sky, cinephiles on our team got together to watch the kung-fu classic (and sequel to last year's show) "Return to the 36th Chamber." It tells the story of a resourceful villager who impersonates a Shaolin monk to defend his town from oppressive overseers by mastering an unusual scaffolding technique. The original film in the series, "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin" inspired our philosophy of identifying discrete skills that can be practiced; each "chamber" representing a challenge that, once mastered, becomes a natural part of our work practice. Just returned from Augmented Enterprise Summit in Dallas, and excited to share my 5 key takeaways on the state of the XR industry and CARNEVALE's role in it. Read the full story at The Lab: https://lnkd.in/g2TFdbcv 1. We showcased SkyLens, our Real-Time Data Lens, visualizing data in context through AR/VR in both consumer and industrial settings. 2. CARNEVALE stood out at AES as a rare custom software design and development agency among many off-the-shelf platforms and services. 3. XR adoption continues to grow in the shadow of the AI hype train, with impactful hands-on demos and Fortune 50 case studies highlighting real-world uses. 4. XR hardware saw major leaps forward, including the Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest3s & Orion, and the HTC VIVE Focus—all continuing to build the infrastructure of the XR future. 5. With Microsoft ending production on the Hololens 2, companies are searching for true AR alternatives, and lightweight AR glasses like XREAL's Air 2 Ultra are leading the charge. Thanks to Michael Gonzalez and the BrainXchange team for creating a space for many innovative minds and organizations to convene, well run! Grateful to Lee McKenzie and Samantha Robinson for representing the CARNEVALE team and our services so effectively over the course of the event. #AugmentedEnterprise #AES2024 #EnterpriseXR #XR #SpatialComputing #RealTimeDataLens #SkyLens

"Bringing technology into the physical space, especially for kids, and getting them moving means a lot to us," says Erion Adams our software developer. "We hope it sparks creativity, especially in older kids." CARNEVALE's latest project: "Weathering Emotions" at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum! 🌈 ☁️ We had the incredible opportunity to design three digital, interactive stations for this exhibit that help children understand and process emotions using weather concepts. Our team poured creativity and innovation into helping this exhibit come to life. We: 1. Designed for accessibility, ensuring children of all abilities can engage 2. Incorporated advanced technology like: image recognition, dynamic printing, Raspberry Pi, NFC's, and more 3. Created bilingual experiences with English and Spanish options 4. Developed tactile elements and braille for visually impaired visitors Read more from Rapid Growth Media: https://hubs.la/Q02TqTNn0 And visit the Grand Rapids Children's Museum to experience "Weathering Emotions." #GrandRapidsChildrensMuseum #AccessibleDesign #InteractiveLearning Photo: Erion Adams, excited about how technology has the power to heal and is woven into design. Next week, we're in Dallas for the Augmented Enterprise Summit (AES), where we’ll demo our latest AR/VR app, SkyLens. The tech uses gaze tracking, hand interaction, and speaking to visualize location-specific data. The possibilities with these capabilities using real-time data feel endless! SkyLens overlays a tremendous amount of real-time data, and you can “teleport” to any known location on the Earth. We'll be at booth 313, October 15-17; we'd love to show you how we plan to iterate on this experience. If you aren't at AES, get a free trial of SkyLens on Meta Quest (link in comments); we’d love to know what you think (book some time with Mike Carnevale to chat more about our data visualization tools). #VR #VirtualReality #AugmentedReality #AR #XR #FutureOfWork #AES #AES2024 #AugmentedEnterprise
