Despite the widespread implementation of programs to improve road and pedestrian safety, statistics have shown that traffic-related deaths and injuries continue. Research from Florida Atlantic University examined the environmental factors associated with crash incidence in lower-income and more affluent areas in Broward and Palm Beach counties, finding that much of the failure of these programs may be attributed to the failure to direct pedestrian safety improvements to the areas and populations that would most benefit from them. https://lnkd.in/gS8_B4zf
