Superheroes are people we look up to because of something they’ve done or what they stand for. But really, it’s because they also put others before themselves. At Casa Central’s Adult Wellness Center, there are two types of heroes: older adults who have lived a lifetime of challenges, raised families and honor us with their presence every weekday from 9am-3pm. There are also our AWC employees, who put every ounce of care to show these individuals how much we value them. For NATIONAL ADULT DAY SERVICES WEEK, we recognized older adults and our staff during an afternoon of dance, music and light refreshments. To schedule a visit or learn more about these everyday heroes, call 773-645-2487. #casacentral

On Friday, the Adult Wellness Center celebrated National Adult Day Services Week as Superheroes! Participants dressed up like their favorite comic book characters. Martin R. Castro, President & CEO of Casa Central "couldn't attend"😉, so Batman stepped in to award certificates of appreciation to the staff for all their hard work throughout the year. What they do is truly a labor of love! After the ceremony, participants had a dance party. #CasaCentral To schedule a visit or to learn more about the Adult Wellness Center and enrollment, call 773-645-2487.

A while back, Paige Biggus, artist and community art advocate, began work on a new sidewalk mural right outside the front entrance to our auditorium building. The colorful artwork features flowers of symbolic importance to several different Latin American countries, and will be officially unveiled at Casa Central's Harvest Fest celebration, this Friday, September 27 at the intersection of California Ave and Evergreen Ave, in Chicago. We hope to see you there!
