CASE District IV Member Spotlight: Texas Here is what Casey Cox, director of development at Sam Houston State University is saying about the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and his work advancing education. "My name is Casey Cox, I am a Director of Development at Sam Houston State University. I have been a part of major gifts for SHSU for five years. I thoroughly love fundraising and the opportunities it has given me. Being able to meet people and hear their stories on why they chose to be philanthropic has truly made such an impact on my life. Growing up in rural Texas, higher education scholarships were a life-changing opportunity for me to attend and afford college. Without them, I would not be where I am today. I am proud that SHSU knows how important scholarships are to all of our students and programs — this allows me to do my part in helping the next generation of Bearkats succeed with their education aspirations at SHSU. CASE provides services and research opportunities that have helped me grow as a major gift officer. I came into this industry with minimal fundraising experience and the sessions and webinars that CASE provides have helped me learn and become a better major gift officer for our students and University. CASE contributes so much to the industry of fundraising; with the ever-changing landscape we must evolve and pivot when needed and CASE has been a major assistance in that aspect."

CASE District IV Member Spotlight: Arkansas Here is what Robert Morris, MPH, MPS, Associate Director of Donor Experience at UAMS - University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is saying about the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and his work advancing education. “I attended my first CASE conference in San Antonio this year and was blown away by the amount of collaboration between peers and the different types of sessions that were offered. As someone relatively new to the profession, I believe that CASE has helped me bring my career in development to the next level by providing opportunities, experiences, and resources to further enrich our work in higher education.” “I know first-hand the impact of scholarships here at UAMS as I was honored to receive one as a student within the College of Public Health during COVID. To know that UAMS invested in me and my efforts throughout the biggest public health crisis of our lives really pushed me to continue doing my best work possible. It not only helped me to complete my Master of Public Health degree with less of a financial burden, but it also showed me the importance of giving back to create impact in the lives of students.”
