As National Hispanic Heritage Month is underway, CASE District VII reflects on the many accomplishments and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. Generations of Hispanic Americans have positively influenced and enriched our educational systems, nation and society, and we are eternally grateful. #hispanicheritagemonth #DEI #hispanicheritage https://lnkd.in/gkncWc4N

This week, District VII joins the country in celebrating National Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week and the crucial role of empowering and educating our nation's diverse student populations. Creating equitable access to higher education by supporting the success of Hispanic and Latinx students fosters diverse and resilient students for a better future. We are dedicated to the commitment, diversity, opportunities and resilience that Hispanic-Serving Institutions bring to education. President Biden's proclamation begins: "Education is a ticket to a better life, and for more than 4.7 million Hispanic and Latino students, Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) make it possible. The over 500 HSIs across our country are home to over half of Hispanic and Latino college students. During National Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week, we celebrate these critical postsecondary institutions, which empower our students to pursue the full limits of their talent and ambition."#HSIWeek #HSIsMatter #DiversityInEducation #CASED7 https://lnkd.in/gSHJfRYm
