CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology) reposted this
Monday, I presented on creating an inclusive learning environment for adult learners in Oregon at their Adult Basic Skills Conference. It was a two session kickoff to a series of modules, virtual workshops and online group work through April 2025. CAST worked with LINCS to create this series to support adult learners. There was great sharing about fear, trauma, and need for the joy of exploration, belonging/representation and identity for adults too. Thank you Oregon ABS for the honor of leading this work with you. The joy of learning is not just for kids! Representation benefits both those who appear in the images AND those who don't. When you remove barriers to learning, you create the possibility for agency and agency is empowerment! #udl #udl3.0 #CAST
