I hope that you had a most blessed Easter! The team at Catholic Charities sure did! Pictured below represents only part of Catholic Charities Easter Outreach in Northwest Indiana. Shipmates LaShawn and Jess loading up Jessa's truck with the generous donations from others, sorted and packed into Easter bags and baskets ready to be delivered to the children of low-income families in Lake, Porter, LaPorte and Starke Counties. This, followed by other vehicles loaded and ready for delivery to children dreaming of Easter morning. Then, a young lady joyfully holding what will be her Easter bag of goodies, followed by a beautiful 'Thank You' message from AHEPA 78 for the Easter gift bags provided by our donors given to seniors in our community. We are so grateful to the group of Honor Students from Bishop Noll Academy who paid us a visit on Monday, March 18 and assembled more than 100 Easter Buckets filled with toys and treats for the small children of Geminus Head Start. In addition, hats off to Catholic Charities staff Tina and Ashley for coordinating today's service project and outreach at our Hunger Relief Center in East Chicago, Indiana. The place was hoppin'! November 7, 2023, Mr. George McCoy and his wife Michelle paid a visit to Catholic Charities Gary, Indiana Outreach Center to thank our team for helping them through some very difficult times. In partnership with United Way of Northwest Indiana's Level Up Program, Catholic Charities and Caseworker Jessa were able to help the McCoys during George's recovery from work-related injuries. During his time of recovery and rehabilitation, George was able to earn his CDL License. When George returns to work in January 2024 he will be earning significantly more money because of the CDL License. #CatholicCharities #financialassistance #jobtraining #selfsufficiency
