Educating today’s voters and training tomorrow’s leaders

About us

With an ever-changing representative form of democracy, we stand ready to prepare the next generation of political leaders. The Congressional Black Caucus Political Education and Leadership Institute (“CBC Institute”) was incorporated in 2000, as a 501 (c) (4), non-profit, non-partisan social welfare organization. While our primary mission is to “Educate today’s voters and train tomorrow’s leaders”, we also inform, inspire and ignite our communities into action on issues that affect them the most.

Did you know there are links between a company’s financial health and its commitment to diversity, especially in leadership programs? A McKinsey report found that women have made considerable gains in leadership since 2015, and among the global businesses tracked, one-fifth of executive leadership team members are now women. While there’s still much work to be done for fair representation, it’s encouraging to know this is one-third higher than in 2020, and companies are moving in the right direction. #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion
