Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s (CCAI) Foster Youth Internship (FYI) Program® is accepting applications for 2025! This national internship is designed for students and recent graduates with lived experience in foster care who are passionate about federal policy and advocacy. Applications are open through November 1. Program Overview: Remote: February 24 - May 23, 2025 (approx. 10-15 hrs/month) In-Person: May 27 - July 11, 2025 (full time) in Washington, D.C. Participants will conduct research, write a federal child welfare policy report, and gain invaluable experience in the legislative offices of U.S. Congress members. To qualify, you must commit to both the remote preparatory phase and the full-time internship. Application Process: Part One: Complete the online application by November 1, 2024. Part Two: Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application (due by December 2, 2024) which assesses legislative interests, writing ability, and includes a brief phone call with CCAI.
