It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Mary Fagan Hotze, one of CECO's co-founders. Margaret passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2024. When Margaret and her husband Ernest began Compressor Engineering Corporation in mid-1964, she was in charge of making sure the orders were filled, shipped and billed. This involved many trips to bus stations and airports that were shoe-horned between carpools and scout camp-outs. She served on its board of directors for years. CECO's 60 years of success can be largely attributed to Margaret's hard work. She left this life as she lived it, blessed handsomely by God. Services will be at Holy Rosary Church, 3600 Milam St. in Houston. A Rosary will be held on April 4th, 2024 from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. followed by a wake in the parish hall. A Requiem Mass will be held on April 5th, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. The Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Margaret's family requested donations may be sent to The Foundation for Life, St. Thomas High School, or the Center for Thomistic Studies at the University of St. Thomas. Any cards or letters may be forwarded to the Houston office in care of the Hotze Family, 5440 Alder Drive, Houston, Texas 77081.
