✨Intern Spotlight✨ Say hello to Matthew Singleton! ❓What is the biggest lesson you have learned so far in your Internship? "One of the most significant lessons I have taken from this experience at Fikes in the Fuel Supply Department is the importance of effective logistics and supply management to ensure we are meeting the demands of customers. I have observed how planning and adaptive strategies are essential in managing the allocation of fuel products. Things like fluctuating market prices and transportation logistics require an informed approach to resolve problems when necessary. I have also learned the importance of collaboration within a team and external individuals such as suppliers and transportation companies. Being able to effectively communicate helps anticipate rising conflicts while implementing timely solutions for our terminals and customers. This experience has showcased the balance between being able to optimize costs and maintain a high level of service to ensure the profitability and reputation of the company." #nationalinternday
