Today, we announced that 18 of our most popular Advanced Career Training (ACT) ed2go | Education To Go courses received American Council on Education (ACE) credit recommendations, ranging from three to 15 credit hours. ACE’s independent faculty reviewers expressed admiration for our course design, delivery, breadth of content and assessments that reflect rigorous knowledge testing. As part of this commitment, our employees are invited to engage in an annual global Wellness Inspiration Week. This year featured nine virtual sessions covering a wide range of topics such as managing emotions under pressure, the importance of quality sleep, financial wellness, mental health, fitness, and more. We also encouraged participation in daily wellness challenges and prompts shared on Slack, which fostered a stronger sense of community and promotion of healthy habits. Today, Cengage Work released the second edition of its Learner Outcomes Report, which found 90% of learners enrolled in a Cengage Work course completed it, far above the industry averages of 50-70%. Further analysis highlighted that programs offering career-aligned course work, flexible course delivery, technology tools and educational support achieved the highest completion rates. Our Institutional team hosted Cengage’s fourth Limitless Learning Summit (LLS) last week in Newport, Rhode Island. The LLS is an opportunity to collaborate with educators, institutional decision-makers and thought leaders to elevate topics that are driving institutional strategy and nurture conversations about how to take these ideas back to each school. ◼ Keynote speaker Dr. Jeff Borden, Dean of Gonzaga University led the group through a workshop on academic innovation. ◼ Lee Lambert, Chancellor of Foothill-De Anza Community College District gave attendees new insights on Artificial Intelligence’s evolving role in higher education. ◼ Emily Ravenscroft-Stuckenbruck, Ryan Tipton and Margaret McMenamin gave master classes on topics important to higher education leaders. ◼ Carlo Salerno from The Burning Glass Institute gave administrators tools they can use to access and analyze the data they need to make informed, data-driven decisions for their organizations.
