The Center for Industry Self-Regulation (CISR), a 501(c)(3) non-profit of BBB National Programs, was created to harness the historic power of self-regulation in the United States in order to empower business accountability. CISR is dedicated to education and research that supports responsible business leaders developing fair, future-proof best practices, and to the education of the general public on the conditions necessary for industry self-regulation. Armed with the expertise and experience needed to incubate new initiatives, CISR is the place for industries to turn to build the foundation for new self-regulation programs that are tailored to enhance consumer trust.

September has been a huge month for industry self-regulation. On Sept. 16-17, BBB National Programs’ National Advertising Division (NAD) hosted its annual conference in New York City.
