Congrats to our CfD core faculty member, Michael Arnold Mages! 📕👏
Exciting news! I just received the first copies of my new book Conversational Design from BIS Publishers. After years of work and collaboration, it’s surreal to finally hold it in my hands. This book explores how designers can influence civic engagement through the objects, spaces, and interfaces we create. With a focus on how designed elements shape the conversations that drive public policy and social change, Conversational Design offers insights for designers, educators, and anyone interested in fostering meaningful participation in civic life. It will be available in Europe this November, and in the USA this spring! Thanks to the City of Pittsburgh, The Heinz Endowments, the City of Boston, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, My Brother's Keeper, the Environmental Charter School, the School of Design Carnegie Mellon University, the Center for Design at CAMD, the College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD) at Northeastern University so many, many others! #Design #CivicEngagement #PublicPolicy #ConversationDesign #BookLaunch #CommunityDesign
