[Research] The Rise of Data Centers: A New Chapter in Infrastructure By 2024, the scale of investment in U.S.-based data center startups had reached staggering proportions. Over $3 billion had been funneled into 37 companies by mid-year, with an average funding amount of $20 million. With recent funding rounds, companies such as Celestial AI and WEKA have been key players in this shift. Celestial AI, for example, raised $175 million in a Series C funding round in March 2024.
