📌 Project Spotlight: LEGACY 🌐 https://lnkd.in/diqS2eyd 👉 Primary objective of the LEGACY project is to develop tools and technologies for screening, modelling, monitoring, and mitigation of well integrity issues and leakage, thereby enabling safe and cost-efficient, large-scale storage of CO2 in areas with legacy wells. Scientific aims: 🔹 Communicate effectively with industry, state regulators and general public on legacy wells threats and opportunities, 🔸 Develop an automated workflow for screening of legacy wells, 🔹 Demonstrate tools for cost-efficient non-invasive monitoring of well integrity and leakage, 🔸 Develop and validate strategies for efficient modelling and prediction of leakage rates, 🔹 Develop strategies for mitigation/remediation of well integrity issues, 🔸 Explore the possibility of using legacy wells to improve monitoring of storage sites, 🔹 Develop recommendations for future well construction and abandonment to facilitate monitoring, #ProjectSpotlight #LEGACY #SustainableFuture #CO2Storage #CO2

📌 Project Spotlight: AMbCS 🌐 https://lnkd.in/d2ZzR6AR 😫 Global CO2 emission levels continue to rise and acceleration in deploying emission reduction technologies of all types across all sectors is required to combat climate change. 🚢 Shipping industry contributes to about 3% in world's CO2 emissions accounting up to 1076 mtCO2 in 2018 and is projected to rise up to 250% in 2050. 🔎 AMbCS project plans to develop and demonstrate an advanced membrane-based CCUS solution for shipping industry using novel membranes and innovative processes to address the challenges and thereby fast track CCUS deployment in shipping industry by 2030. 📉 The full-chain solution including CO2 handling developed and assessed within AMbCS project aid to significant emission reductions by 2030 and advancing to further reductions by 2050. #ProjectSpotlight #AMbCS #SustainableFuture #Shipping #CCUS #CO2

📌 Project Spotlight: HyCoMM 🌐 https://lnkd.in/ddqDJWqY 🚗 Hybrids and electrified drives can be found in many mobile application areas, such as in passenger cars and city buses, and have proven their performance and robustness in everyday use. 🔙 Since 2015, battery-powered and zero-emission construction machines have been offered on the market but have not yet been widespread use. 🔧 In this project, a consortium consisting of a construction equipment manufacturer, leading and innovative suppliers and various research institutes will equip an existing construction machine with a hybrid drive system (fuel cell with high-performance battery) and test it in real-life application scenarios. 💨📉 Through the exclusive use of green hydrogen, these construction machines make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions in the transport sector. #ProjectSpotlight #HyCoMM #SustainableFuture #Hybrid #ElectrifiedCar #CO2

📌 Project Spotlight: DRIVE 🌐 https://lnkd.in/dmu8Muaz 💨 DRIVE aims at providing improved technological solutions for CO2 capture. 👉 The DRIVE technologies and methods will allow industries to minimize the costs of achieving carbon neutral or carbon negative operations at specific point sources, thus facilitating and lowering the costs of the transition of the industrial sectors to the climate neutrality by 2050. 🔎 In the deep emissions range, cost-effectiveness means that the technologies proposed should have lower costs than DAC. Therefore, in the DRIVE context, a marginal cost of less than 200 €/tCO2 is set as target for the technologies to be studied/developed #ProjectSpotlight #DRIVE #SustainableFuture #CO2
