Our Donors Forum yesterday helped us better understand the state of LGBTQ philanthropy, as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the LGBTQ Community Fund, established by donors at The Community Foundation. Janet Allen, who manages LGBTQ grantmaking, led the panel discussion, and April Bethea of Funders for LGBTQ Issues offered some data on the funding landscape for LGBTQ organizations, as well as other direct service providers who serve LGBTQ people. Donors Forum is an initiative of The Community Foundation that brings together TCF fundholders and other grantmakers to learn about topics in philanthropy and issues in the community.

What an inspiring night! Thanks to the hard-working members of the A.L. Lewis Black Opportunity & Impact Fund, an initiative of The Community Foundation, for bringing Bryan Stevenson to Jacksonville to speak at the A.L. Lewis Speaker Series, a fundraiser supporting the Fund's grantmaking - which now totals $300,000 to help Black communities thrive.
