Your vote is more than a choice between candidates—it’s a chance to advocate for the kind of world you want to live in. Social determinants of health, like housing, education, and economic stability, all have a direct impact on mental health. These policies are shaped by the officials we elect. Affordable housing, healthcare access, and paid family leave directly affect our ability to lead healthy, balanced lives. Voting for leaders who support social programs and accessible mental health services is a step toward improving broader systems. And when those systems work better, we all work better. here* will be releasing its 'Voting with Mental Health in Mind' guide so you can easily navigate the issues at stake this November. And I am on my way to #Arizona to join the team in the effort to send Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to The White House. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthpolicy #electionseason #voting #yourmentalhealthmatters #yourvotematters

Loneliness at work is a growing problem impacting healthcare costs, absenteeism, and turnover, with 1 in 5 employees feeling lonely globally. Lauren Day and Rebecca Zettler (she/her) recently facilitated a peer group discussion on loneliness at work. Here's what we learned: 1. Loneliness is not a personal problem: It’s often influenced by work environment, and employers need to recognize their role in creating supportive, inclusive cultures. 2. All types of teams and individuals are impacted: It’s not just remote work or introverted employees; organizational culture and social connections matter in combatting loneliness at work. 3. Teams alone won't solve loneliness: Simply assigning employees to teams doesn’t automatically reduce loneliness—teams need mutual respect and interdependence to foster real connections. #loneliness #mentalhealth #mentalhealthatwork #connection
