We had an incredible morning at VyStar with Jacksonville's own Super Bowl Champion and National Football League (NFL) Hall of Famer, LeRoy Butler! He joined us to show his appreciation for our support of Changing Homelessness as they celebrate their 50th year, and for our volunteer efforts through Good is everywhere. LeRoy also shared his inspiring journey from overcoming childhood challenges to becoming an NFL legend. What an unforgettable day! #Goodiseverywhere #withVyStar

Thank you to everyone who attended our #HomeForAll Sneaker Ball on June 20th, as part of our #50thAnniversary celebrations! It was truly a magical experience, and the energy and enthusiasm brought by you added so much to the evening. We're thrilled to announce that, thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised $225K towards #endinghomelessness for our neighbors in #Jacksonville. Your contributions and participation made this event not just a #fundraiser, but a celebration of community and compassion. The best part of the night was seeing so many wonderful people come together for such an important cause. And, of course, your sneakers! For those who want to relive the magical moments, or see what they missed, check out the full gallery of photos on our event website linked below. We can't wait to see all of you, along with the friends you didn't bring this year, at next year's event on June 5th, 2025. Mark your calendars now – we promise it will be another spectacular evening! Thank you once again to everyone who made our inaugural Home For All Sneaker Ball a night to remember. We couldn't have done it without our incredible sponsors, partners, and vendors. Together, we are making a difference in our community. 🏡💃👟 https://lnkd.in/dNB2X_Nd Orsay | JHP Entertainment | Mugwump Productions | Bottles Up Enterprises | First Coast News | Keitha Nelson-Williams & Chris Porter | Valet Parking Pros | D2R Weddings

There is so much more to an #organization, and it begins with the foundation – the people who had the vision, the people who have the #vision and live the #mission daily, and the people who will see it through for years to come. Over the course of the next eight months, we are sitting down to chat with the people of #ChangingHomelessness to find out what #inspires them. Our first chat? Our CEO, Dawn Gilman 🏡

What an incredible morning ✨ Yesterday, we hosted our Point in Time Community Update: Pre & Post COVID in partnership with First Coast News and Florida State College at Jacksonville and we couldn't be more grateful for our community. Our event was only possible because of the unwavering commitment of our volunteers and partnering organizations whose invaluable contributions will help us to achieve the ultimate goal -- ending homelessness. A special shout-out to our amazing Emcee Chris Porter, and to the wonderful LeRoy Butler & Mayor Donna Deegan for sitting down for an important chat about volunteerism and homelessness in Jacksonville. And we can't forget about the delicious breakfast served to us by Forks On The Left Catering! We have so much more to come in 2024 and we can't wait to share it all with our neighbors! Stay tuned 🧡🏡 #CHIPITDebrief2024 #WeCanEndHomelessness #VolunteerAppreciation

January 2024 Point-In-Time Count: ✅ These past three days have been a whirlwind of high energy, compassion, and #action. Thank you so much to all the wonderful #volunteers and agencies who helped us conduct our annual #PointInTimeCount this year! Your commitment and passion were the driving forces behind the success of this year’s count. Through your efforts, we not only collected valuable #data to better understand #homelessness in our community but also demonstrated the dedication we all have for ending homelessness. The success of the PIT count is a testament to the strength of our #community when people come together with a shared purpose and mission. In a few months, our Point-In-Time report will be released for viewing, and we’ll keep you updated on the release. Once again, THANK YOU for helping us #EndHomelessness 🏡🧡

DREAM TEAM 😍💪 This weekend, #volunteers gathered at our office to help us pack our hygiene kits for the Point-In-Time count. Together, over 700 kits were packed! It was an amazing time to see our #community come out and become the helping hands behind the scenes. We are incredibly #grateful and touched by the show of #support, and we just know our #unhoused neighbors will benefit from this collective effort! Thank you to all our hygiene kit packers and to the generous #donors who helped make it possible to fill these kits! Together, we can #endhomelessness 🧡

THANK YOU 🧡 Earlier today, we went and picked up two carloads of #donations generously collected by the Duval Teachers Union! Items collected varied from toothpaste and snacks, to lip balms and socks. These donations will be distributed during the Point-In-Time count to our #unhoused neighbors. A big shoutout to Tammie Brooks-Evans, President, and Jessica Reyst, Vice President, for organizing the collection of these donations, and to the dozens of teachers, students, and advocates that came together to help care for our communities most vulnerable! 😊
