  • 🚇 Closing out rail safety week with some of our favorite security tips: ⚠️ Always use designated public crossings to cross tracks, whether at vehicle crossings or pedestrian overpasses. ⚠️ Never run to catch the train or try to board once it is in motion. ⚠️Gates and flashing lights temporarily close the road when a train is approaching. Only cross when the gates are completely up and the lights have stopped flashing. ⚠️ In case of emergency, find the blue sign (pictured below) displaying an emergency phone number. Call the number and provide the Department of Transportation crossing ID number, which can be found on the sign, to help identify your location. You can find this sign on the crossbuck post or signal post. Stay safe while riding the rails, and as always, thanks for riding CATS! 💛
