About us
The Authority Board of Directors includes representatives from the following: Arapahoe and Douglas Counties; the City or Town of Aurora, Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Centennial, Foxfield, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, and Parker; one member representing the seven special districts providing wastewater services in the Authority’s boundaries (Arapahoe Water and Wastewater Authority, Cottonwood Water and Sanitation District, Inverness Water and Sanitation District, Meridian Metropolitan District, Parker Water and Sanitation District, Pinery Water and Sanitation District, and Stonegate Village Metropolitan District); and seven citizens representing environmental, economic and sporting interests, appointed by the Governor of Colorado.

Starting in 2020, we've been monitoring streamflow in West Stroh Gulch, a watershed south of Denver. This is rangeland that is right now under development to become housing. The CCBWQA welcomes Governor appointee Dr. Aditi Bhaskar to our Board of Directors. Director Bhaskar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. She specializes in changes to water resources that accompany urban development, with a focus on interactions between streams, groundwater, stormwater and urban irrigation. The CCBWQA recognizes Thomas Downing and Dr. John Woodling as re-appointed Board members. Directors Downing and Woodling represent sportspersons who use the reservoir and citizens interested in preserving water quality in the Cherry Creek Basin and are vital and active members of our Board.
