We Work So Others Can Work
About us
We are the Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance; we work so that others can work. We develop and fund innovative initiatives that empower employer-led workforce solutions, improve our region’s workforce development systems and promote job quality for every worker. Our mission is to collaborate with employers and other workforce stakeholders to increase employment, earnings and racial equity for underprepared workers in the Chicago region. We focus on multiple sectors across Chicago’s diverse economy, including: construction, financial services, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, retail and transportation/distribution/logistics (TDL). As a funder collaborative, we are governed by 14 private funders and supported by nearly 30 private funders in all. We thrive because of our partnership with several civic organizations and leaders, who serve as key drivers of our successful initiatives. Employers, funders and other workforce stakeholders interested in learning more about our initiatives can follow this LinkedIn page and via Twitter, sign-up for our newsletter and reach out with a phone call. We invite you to connect with our work.

In an equitable economy, all workers have the resources required to thrive. We need to take a systems-level approach to workforce development and consider how childcare, transportation, housing, and other issues affect workers. #WkDevMonth24 #WorkforceWednesday
