Tomorrow is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, an initiative hosted twice a year by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). These national collections help provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs while educating the general public about the potential abuse of medications. Proper disposal helps keep prescription drugs from harming the environment. Chiesi USA supports drug take back programs every day in partnership with the Pharmaceutical Product Stewardship Working Group (PPSWG) and its designated program operator MED-Project. This partnership echoes our customer and environment-focused sustainability efforts. Chiesi is proud to sponsor this valuable service to our customers. PPSWG expanded efforts in recent years with the MyOldMeds website, an easy way for consumers to easily access free and convenient options to safely dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired household medicines year-round. We are excited to announce the launch of the Chiesi Affinity Network (CAN) – Embracing disABILITY – Americas, co-led by Jason Beyer, Vice President, Business Unit CARE, USA, and Salim Farah, Director, Chiesi Canada Quality Assurance & Sustainability. This initiative signifies a strong commitment to advancing disability inclusion within our community. At Chiesi, we understand the importance of broadening our perspective on disabilities. With approximately 1 in 4 adults in the U.S. experiencing some form of disability, and 70-80% of these being 'invisible', it's crucial that we expand our inclusion efforts beyond traditional views. Many disabilities, such as mental health conditions and sensory impairments, often go unnoticed, leading to inadequate accommodations. Despite the prevalence of disabilities, a significant number of employees choose not to disclose their status. One foundation we aim to create at Chiesi is a more understanding, inclusive environment that leads to more employees with disabilities feeling comfortable self-disclosing. This will be a journey, but we’re up for the challenge! Our focus is on building a supportive culture where everyone feels safe to express their true selves. The CAN is dedicated to creating an inclusive culture that empowers individuals with disabilities by removing barriers and promoting well-being, enabling all colleagues to THRIVE at work. Our commitment extends to educating, empowering, and supporting colleagues with disabilities, caregivers, their families, and allies. By valuing the diverse abilities of every individual, we will maximize our impact on our people, planet, patients, and prosperity. Through enhancing disability inclusion, we aim to be an employer-of-choice, celebrated for empowering individuals of all abilities to thrive. A special congratulations to Jason, Salim, and the Embracing disABILITY - Americas Core Leadership Team for their incredible work on a successful launch. Your dedication makes a real difference, and we’re grateful for your efforts in making Chiesi a #ForceforGood. Together, let's create a more inclusive and empowering future at Chiesi. 🌟 Celebrating Impact: CAMO and the Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5K 🌟 We are thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of the Chiesi Affinity Network (CAN), CAMO, and their efforts for the Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5K! Our dedicated team, comprising Chiesi employees from our Cary and Boston offices, along with field-based colleagues nationwide, came together to make this event truly remarkable. Our initial fundraising goal was $2,000, but thanks to the incredible generosity and spirit of our participants, we more than doubled that amount, raising an impressive $4,904! Out of over 200 participating WWP squads, CAMO proudly achieved 14th place in fundraising nationwide among over a hundred other teams—a testament to our commitment and passion. Every dollar raised contributes significantly to providing essential services for injured veterans, including career counseling, mental health support, and long-term rehabilitative care. This ensures our heroes and their families receive the support they deserve without any financial burden. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all 46 registrants—about 10% of our employee base!—for their participation and to all our supporters for their generous contributions. We also extend our gratitude to the Women’s Initiative Network and Embracing DisABILITY - Americas, for their solidarity, and to Altered State Brewing Company for providing our award-winning Hops for Hope beer as a refreshing post-race treat at our Cary office. In just the first 90 days as a CAN, CAMO has demonstrated that they are a small but mighty movement, achieving impactful milestones thanks to the unwavering support of our colleagues. Together, we continue to honor and serve those who have served us. #️Chiesi_USA #LifeinChiesi #WWP #ForceforGood #ThePlacetoBe
