There are various treatment options for patients with obesity that differ in dosing, titration, administration, percent change in body weight, improvement in cardiometabolic risk factors, management of comorbidities, and adverse events. As obesity continues to be an epidemic in the United States, pharmacists should understand how to choose an appropriate agent for obesity based on the individual patient’s comorbidities and goals of therapy. The activity will illustrate the pharmacist’s role within the interprofessional care team, opportunities to improve access to medications for weight loss, and methods to identify patients who would benefit from a medication for obesity. This educational activity will also use clinical case studies to promote best practices in obesity treatment and develop a patient-centered treatment plan. https://hubs.ly/Q02J0V550
