While a lot has changed throughout the years, Valley Children’s mission has always remained the same 💙 Today, we celebrate 72 years of honoring the mission of our five founding mothers by serving the children of our region who inspire us to be better and bring our best each and every day. 🦒

Each year Valley Children's takes the time to celebrate our employees who work around the clock to ensure our mission of providing high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services to the 1.3 million children in the Central Valley is met. 💙 Staff who have been with us for ten years all the way up to 40 years enjoyed dinner followed by a ceremony celebrating these milestones at our annual Career Recognition dinner. We cannot thank our staff and providers enough for their dedication to our region's children and continuously making Valley Children's an institute of excellence.

Earlier this month, our NICU team hosted NICU graduates and their families at the annual NICU Graduate Picnic! This team put together a day filled with fun festivities including face painting, superhero and tiara decorating and a visit from our favorite giraffe for our patient families! #DYK October marks SIDS Awareness Month? Learn more about more about SIDS, SUID, disparities, and the latest research with world renown safe sleep expert, Thomas Keens, MD, this Saturday at the Central Valley Safe Sleep Coalition's 2nd annual Safe Sleep Learning Conference in-person or virtually! This National Pharmacists Month we would like to recognize our pharmacy team who make invaluable contributions to our patient care 💙 Our highly trained pharmacists and pharmacy residents are available 24-hours a day and work in partnership with patient care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes while also providing prescriptions, health and wellness products, and health information services to patient families, employees and the public. We had SO MUCH fun celebrating the hard work of our Valley Children's staff, providers, volunteers with their loved ones at our Fall Carnival! 🎃🍂🧡    This event was created to show appreciation to the incredible people who continue to bring their best for our patients and families 24/7/365! Without them, our mission to provide excellent care to the 1.3 million kids in Central California would not be possible. We also extended the celebration into the hospital to celebrate our teams who continued to provide this great care to our patients this weekend 🫶     Thank you to our staff, providers, volunteers and community partners for helping make this event possible 💙🦒 

During this Healthcare Security and Safety Week, we would like to recognize the critical role our security team plays in serving Valley Children's, our patients and families and staff 24/7/365! Our security department provides emergency response in our hospital and on the property, support helicopter operations, conduct patrol checks of the building, verify appointments at all entrances, enforce parking policies and support events on campus all while being the first friendly face to greet our patients and families! 😄
