There are more than 105,000 children with a parent serving time in prison or jail in New York State alone. We are thrilled to share that Dechert Day 2024 at Children of Promise NYC was a tremendous success! Volunteers from Dechert LLP joined us from around the globe for a day packed with fun and educational activities that left a lasting impression on our scholars. Throughout the day, our scholars engaged in captivating science experiments with liquid nitrogen and dry ice, enjoyed a photo booth, face painting, and savored delicious treats from a food truck featuring burgers, ice cream, and churros. The highlight of the event was a mock trial for our Youth Action teens, mentored by Dechert’s esteemed legal professionals, providing them with invaluable insights into the legal system and boosting their confidence. This event wouldn't have been possible without the dedication and hard work of Dechert’s volunteers. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the Dechertemployees who traveled from near and far to make this day unforgettable.  Seeing our children’s faces light up with joy and curiosity was incredibly rewarding. Our Mental Health Awareness Day event was an incredible success! We extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our long-time partners, Madison International Realty, for their unwavering support and dedication to our mission at Children of Promise. The kids absolutely loved the volunteers, as they always bring enthusiasm and compassion to every event. This past Tuesday, we hosted an engaging and enriching day for the children, focusing on mental health awareness. The kids participated in yoga sessions, where they learned about the importance of mindfulness and physical well-being. One of the highlights of the day was the art therapy session, where the children got to paint their own superhero masks. This activity not only allowed them to express their creativity but also helped them explore their inner strengths and build self-confidence. We are immensely grateful to Madison International Realty for their continuous partnership. Their dedication and support have been instrumental in the success of our events and in making a positive impact on the lives of these children. We look forward to many more collaborations in the future as we continue to foster a brighter, healthier future for all. Yesterday was a day of transformation at CPNYC! As part of Fanatics' Global Volunteer Day 2024, we were honored to welcome a team of passionate individuals, led by none other than @MichaelRubin himself! From decorating classrooms to organizing books and painting murals that now adorn our walls, these volunteers poured their hearts into every task. The result? A space that feels even more like home for our kids at Children of Promise! We cannot express enough gratitude to each and every volunteer who dedicated their time and energy. Your efforts have not only beautified our space but have also planted seeds of hope and possibility in the hearts of our children. And to Michael Rubin, your presence meant the world to us.
