About us
Our Mission: Children's Aid helps children in poverty to succeed and thrive. We do this by providing comprehensive supports to children and their families in targeted high-needs New York City neighborhoods. For 170 years, Children’s Aid has been committed to ensuring that there are no boundaries to the aspirations of young people, no limits to their potential. We are leading a comprehensive counterattack on the obstacles that threatens kids’ achievement in school and in life. At Children’s Aid, we are teachers and social workers, coaches and health care providers. We know what it takes to ensure children grow up strong and healthy, and ready to thrive in school and life.

Last week, Children’s Aid joined the Education Rally on the front lines, urging city leaders to secure long-term funding for our schools to fight for our kids’ future. As essential education services face cuts with expiring funds this June, our call to action is to secure a FY26 Budget and protect the services that empower our youth. 🌟 Reflecting on Our Successful Job Fairs! 🌟 Myself and the rest of the Children's Aid Talent Acquisition Team are THRILLED to share the highlights from our recent job fairs, where we connected with talented professionals and fostered meaningful conversations about career opportunities Key Highlights: - Our planning process was guided by the voices of children, youth, and families in the communities we serve ensuring their needs and aspirations were at the forefront of our efforts. - By collaborating with several of our programs and engaging in external outreach, we courageously worked within and outside systems to extend our employment opportunities to an even wider audience -Committed to the highest standards, our program representatives and volunteers provided excellent information about the work being done at their sites. Job fair attendees were able to ask questions and gain further clarity on the positions we are currently hiring. Our talent team, program representatives, and volunteers offered valuable insight and career advice. - Leading with kindness, care, and empathy resulted in job fair attendees coming into and leaving our event with excitement and joy. There were smiles all around! Strong collaboration was the key to our success for these first two job fairs! Incorporating our Children's Aid values was central to the planning and execution of these events, making them truly impactful and memorable. Special thank you to our Talent Team who served as the Children's Aid Job Fair planning committee! A heartfelt thank you to our Children's Aid colleagues who lent a helping hand in outreach, volunteered at the fairs, and represented their programs! Your dedication and support made these events truly successful. We look forward to continuing to support career growth and connecting job seekers with amazing opportunities. Happy Women’s History Month! This month, we celebrate the countless women—past and present—who have shaped history, driven progress, and paved the way for future generations. This year’s theme, “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations,” honors the impact of women in mentorship, leadership, and education. At Children’s Aid, women have long been at the heart of our mission—teaching, advocating, and creating lasting change. From classrooms to clinics, social services to advocacy, their contributions have built a legacy that continues to inspire the work we do today. Understanding the impact of women throughout history is key to creating a more inclusive future. We invite you to engage with Women’s History Month through the New York Public Library’s recommended reading list 📚 https://loom.ly/1innf7A and the New York City Parks Department’s guided tours led by Urban Park Rangers ➡️ https://loom.ly/7Tcm_Zg both offering powerful insights into the lasting contributions of women. To the incredible women of Children’s Aid—your leadership, dedication, and passion continue to inspire us today and every day. Thank you for all that you do! #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenInHistory #InspiringGenerations #ChildrensAidNYC
