VOTING DAY - November 5 - Presidential Election President of the United States United States Senate Congressional Districts: 3 & 7 Assembly Districts: 67, 68, 69, 91, & 92 Positions in Chippewa County: District Attorney, Clerk, Treasurer, & Register of Deeds State of Wisconsin Eligibility to Vote Referendum: The Wisconsin Legislature has placed a question on the ballot that aims to amend the state’s constitution as follows: “Shall section 1 of article III of the constitution, which deals with suffrage, be amended to provide that only a United States citizen age 18 or older who resides in an election district may vote in an election for national, state, or local office or at a statewide or local referendum?” The authors maintain their primary goal is to prevent any ambiguity in how voting rights are applied in Wisconsin. Monday's Business After Hours was one for the books! Last Saturday some of our members teamed up for the Heavy Metal Showcase, an open house event during Manufacturing Month! The Heavy Metal Showcase was designed to allow area teachers, students, and parents to learn about the rewarding career opportunities that are available in our local area. Cadrex, Nordson Extrusion Dies Industries, Wisconsin Metal Fab, and W.S. Darley & Co. opened their doors so visitors could get a glimpse into the wide variety of challenging and fulfilling roles in American manufacturing. Representatives from Chippewa Valley Technical College were also on hand to help students explore pathways to some of these jobs in Chippewa Falls. Thank you to our members for providing this inside look for our community!
