From its beginnings as Memorial Hospital in 1949 to becoming CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs in 2016, the hospital has a rich history of serving the community. Earlier this month, CHRISTUS Health celebrated the 75th anniversary with a ceremony and an announcement of a $25 million hospital expansion to continue our mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. CHRISTUS Health and its affiliate CHRISTUS Ark-La-Tex have agreed to assume operations at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas, from Dallas-based Steward Health Care. CHRISTUS plans to assume operations of Wadley Regional Medical Center in the coming weeks to ensure the hospital does not close. “We are committed to maintaining access to care in Texarkana,” said CHRISTUS Health President and CEO Ernie Sadau, “and we are honored to serve with compassion, integrity, dignity and excellence at Wadley Regional Medical Center without interruption.” https://lnkd.in/gynvDzhb

CHRISTUS Health announced today it is expanding access to high-quality and compassionate health care services in Southeast Texas with a new hospital facility in Beaumont that will open to area residents in the coming months. The new hospital facility will be at the former Medical Center of Southeast Texas - Victory Campus on Dowlen Road in West Beaumont. When Hosanna was born weighing just 3.9 pounds, her parents, Abby and Victor, found themselves unexpectedly navigating the world of the NICU.
