Hi! My name is Lana Tasker, and I am currently a social work student at MSU Denver. This semester, I am interning for Chronically Informed. With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, I am dedicated to supporting individuals with chronic illnesses. Outside of work, I am a proud mom of two teenagers, a lively Schnoodle, and a bearded dragon. In my free time, I enjoy visiting my friends in the Pacific Northwest and relaxing by the ocean. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to Chronically Informed!

Chronically Informed is a platform showcasing short-form videos for patients with chronic illness, by patients with chronic illness. Stories shared in the videos provide experiences of success and practical techniques for navigating the medical system. The goals of Chronically Informed are to create hope for people with chronic illness, help patients partner with their providers, and improve healthcare for patients.

I officially graduated over the weekend from the University of Southern California with my Doctorate of Social Work! I will still be defending my Capstone Project over the summer, but flying to LA and getting to meet all of my friends in person was something I will never forget. I’m full of gratitude and can’t wait to finish school this semester! 🎓
