CISUFLO, an EU project with the overall goal to minimize the environmental impact of the EU flooring sector, is working on new technologies and products to improve materials’ recovery and drive the sector towards a circular economy. As such, the organization tests and formulates measures and best practice guidelines to make the carpet market more sustainable. In the latest edition of their “Best practice guidelines for circular flooring development”, Cisuflo presents the use of Avery Dennison hotmelt tape for layer separation as well as Avery Dennison Smartrac for RFID tagging. Great to see these concrete efforts by our respective partners in the EU Horizon projects CISUFLO (Unilin) and EcoReFibre (Dieffenbacher) in bringing technologies for #recycling MDF and laminate flooring at industrial scale to market!
NEWS: Unilin Technologies and Dieffenbacher are partnering up to roll out the fiberboard recycling technology, Osiris. Unilin Technologies and DIEFFENBACHER have entered into a cooperation agreement to further commercialize ‘Osiris’, Unilin’s patented fiberboard recycling technology. This partnership represents a shared vision of innovation and sustainability. 🌍 “Sustainability is a key differentiator in our sector,” commented Bart Van der Stockt, President of Unilin Technologies. “By partnering with DIEFFENBACHER, we are able to extend the positive environmental impact through the entire industry. Moreover, the Osiris technology provides not only environmental benefits but also a substantial reduction in the production costs of new fiberboard.” 🤝 The Osiris technology uses a steam explosion process to recover high-quality recycled fibers from waste fiberboards.
