City of Box Elder employees, Carter Smith and Wayne Rasmussen are stepping up for mental health. 🧠🌿 These dedicated City employees have just completed their Mental Health First Aid Instructors course, equipping them with the tools to help those experiencing mental health crises. But they're not stopping there. Thanks to the efforts of our team, Carter and Wayne were able to secure the Heroes Grant, enabling them to pursue their Crisis Intervention Coordinator certification at the CIT International Conference in Indiana this upcoming week. This intensive training will equip them with even more skills to respond effectively to mental health emergencies. By gaining this accredited certification, Carter and Wayne will be able to: - Provide immediate support to those in crisis, both within our organization and Box Elder community. - Reduce the stigma of mental health and challenge negative perceptions, fostering a healthier and more supportive environment. - Increase access to care by identifying individuals in need and connecting them with appropriate resources and services. - Enhance community well-being by making our community an overall more resilient place. Their commitment to our community's welfare is inspiring. Let's show our support and appreciation for their dedication to improving mental health awareness and accessibility. #MentalHealthMatters #CommunitySupport #BoxElder #CrisisIntervention #Training
