Updates

  • The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), re:Charge, Shared Mobility Inc., Drop Mobility, and community leaders came together today at the Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook to announce the deployment of a new wireless electric charging station in Amsterdam to support CDTA’s CDPHP Cycle! bike share program. This pilot program is the first in the United States to use wireless power transfer to charge shared electric micromobility vehicles. On-street universal charging from re:Charge can dramatically reduce operating costs and increase vehicle availability, making shared bikes and scooters a more attractive, available, and affordable transportation option.
