Antioch Is Opportunity

About us

Antioch is the Gateway to the Delta, located on the banks of the San Joaquin River in Northern California. Just off of Highway 4, in Contra Costa County. With a population of over 100,000 people, Antioch has become the heart of Eastern Contra Costa County, offering a variety of employment, shopping and vast recreational activities. Land remains plentiful and affordable, compared with other parts of the Bay Area. Retail and office space in Antioch typically leases for 20 to 30 percent less than comparable space in central Contra Costa County. Antioch is one of the few Bay Area communities that offers affordable housing. There are a variety of house styles throughout Antioch, from condominiums to single family residences, priced for a variety of income levels. The pace of development in Antioch has spurred activity for financial and insurance institutions, contractors, and other types of service-oriented businesses. Increased development has created increased employment in schools, hospitals and other local service sectors.

The City of Antioch welcomes AMPORTS Inc. to its newest automotive terminal off Wilbur Ave in Antioch, marking a pivotal moment in the expansion of AMPORTS' operations in the Bay Area. The terminal, developed over two years, adds approximately 100 acres to AMPORTS’ facilities and can provide direct rail access to the BSNF Railway. Should BSNF service the site in the future, it would significantly enhance logistical capabilities. Strategically located to provide convenient access to land transport links and distribution networks in major metropolitan areas, AMPORTS’ operations in Antioch will benefit from this optimum positioning. The new pier in Antioch is now operational, accepting roll-on/roll-off vessels and activating industrial space along the city’s waterfront and contributing significantly to local industry and commerce. It places Antioch as a crucial hub for vehicle import and export activities. It is an energizing time for the Antioch community, underscoring that "Antioch is Opportunity."
