Councilman Draco A. Miller named as the Texas Association of Black City Council Members director for Region 6. The Texas Association of Black City Council Members, Inc. (TABCCM), is a membership organization formed to provide a forum for black local elected officials and the community. The primary purpose is to assist in the empowerment of black local elected officials and their constituencies. The association will carry out its purpose by facilitating opportunities for education, sharing ideas and knowledge, and advocating the economic betterment of the communities where its members serve. The Texas Association of Black City Council Members, Inc. is an affiliate of the Texas Municipal League and a 501 (c) 3 organization

This October, join neighbors throughout Brownwood as we celebrate National Night Out with block parties and community gatherings. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, and more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. The City of Brownwood announces the inaugural music lineup for the new Feels Like Home Festival taking place on Saturday, October 19th in Brownwood, Texas. Fans from across the Lone Star State will be treated to a headlining Saturday night performance by none other than Texas’ own, two-time Grammy Award-nominee Midland, a trailblazing country music trio. The band is slated to drop their next highly-anticipated album September 20th, Barely Blue, offering Feels Like Home Festival-goers one of the very first opportunities to hear songs from the new project.
