Officer Mark Witrado is a familiar face at Terronez Middle School, where he serves as a Student Resource Officer with the Fresno Police Department. Last week, Officer Witrado was awarded a Lifesaving Medal with Valor for his actions in 2022, when he pulled a family from a burning vehicle, and the school held a special assembly to thank him for his heroics! #WeWorkForYou Work with us: www.fresno.gov/jobs

To become a bus driver for Fresno Area Express, you have to go through a rigorous 8-week course - and Valentin Granados will be there to make sure you're ready before you hit the streets. 🚌 He drove a bus himself for 10 years before becoming a supervisor. Now, he serves his hometown by shaping the next wave of bus drivers and ensuring they're completely prepared to serve Fresno residents. Work with us: www.fresno.gov/jobs

Traffic cameras at intersections are one of the tools the Fresno Police Department can use to help close cases - and Katelyn Taylor keeps an eye on all 80+ of them in the city! She works in the Real Time Information Center and uses the cameras to track suspect vehicles and give officers another eye as they respond to scenes. Katelyn also tracks cases for the Organized Retail Theft (ORT) unit, providing detectives with information that can help them solve cases at local businesses, and she says she loves being able to help. Thank you, Katelyn! #WeWorkForYou Work with us: www.fresno.gov/jobs

Our hot patch crews are hard at work all over town and over the last few days patched the Tulare and M Street intersection in Downtown Fresno. A hot patch is a longer term solution to rough roads and potholes. To report potholes call 311 or use the FresGo app! #publicworks #fresno #downtownfresno

Downtown Fresno has a fresh pop of color for this weekend’s Fiestas Patrias celebration, and it’s all thanks to David Renovato and the Public Works Street Maintenance team! 😍 David is a jack-of-all-trades – he creates street signs, works on the truck that paints street lines, and jumps into action for special projects. He says that assignments like the colorful papel picado project make him smile, and it gives him pride to know that others will enjoy his work. Thank you, David! #WeWorkForYou Work with us: www.fresno.gov/jobs
