About us

Lakeville’s rich history revolves around Lake Marion, Antlers Park, the railroad and its connections to the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Lakeville has been one of the fastest growing communities in the state for many years, representing growth of nearly 30% since 2000 and has topped the most residential building permits in the metro area year over year. It is 38 square miles in size and has a population of 72,135. The City of Lakeville has established a reputation as a place with a high quality of life, easy access to jobs and excellent schools. Lakeville has an active and growing business community, with over 1,428 businesses and benefits from a strategic location along with interstate, rail and air access, both through Airlake Airport and MSP International Airport, only 15 miles from the city. Anticipated hiring range is $91,906.21 - $98,928.44, plus a great benefits package. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering degree program and a minimum of four (4)years of progressively responsible work experience in the civil engineering field. Possess and maintain licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Professional Engineer or have the ability to obtainlicensure within six (6) month of hire. Experience applying the principles and practices of civil engineering. Experience with State and Federal rules andregulations, as applied to the construction of public works projects, preferred. Experience in skillfully organizing and communicating civil engineering ideas and concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing. Valid driver's license. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in municipal engineering and site/plan development.
