Imagine turning your backyard garden into a mini farmers market! The proposed Urban Garden Policy would let homeowners and community gardeners sell homegrown produce right from their own properties, making fresh, local food more accessible and boosting neighborhood connections. 🧺 The Planning Commission will discuss the Urban Garden Policy Proposal on April 16. If approved, it heads to the City Council for a public hearing on May 5. Learn more at https://bit.ly/43AWGTC.

We highlighted how the City’s investments are strengthening Lincoln’s workforce, from career development programs that have served over 1,400 people to the new $1.3M Future-Ready Workforce Initiative. We also celebrated the impact of our $1.1M grant to Bryan Foundation, which has already helped 192 nursing and phlebotomist students, and our $200,000 investment in ECHO Collective, which is empowering immigrant and refugee women to launch and grow small businesses right here in Lincoln.
