At last night's Governing Body meeting, we recognized 5 employees from our Fire Department and 4 employees from our Parks and Recreation Department for their live saving response on a patron at the community center! They put their training into action and undoubtedly saved a patron's life! We are so lucky to have such a great group of professionals in our City!

We are hoping for another food franchise for our downtown!!
Does any of my friends, army peeps, or fraternity brothers know of any CAVA or Mezeh franchisee? We have several remaining prime real estate in our modern downtown with amenities like public library, coffee shop, farmer's market, VRE garage, future movie theater, kids splashpad, and several new restaurants coming soon etc. A sandwich concept (not subway unfortunately) would also be nice. Prime real estate is going fast, and we also have incredible incentives for new businesses. 😎

The Park Central VRE Garage is really coming together quickly! In just a month, this patch of dirt really transitioned into garage structure! We expect to hold the Topping Off Ceremony later this summer! While the garage may look completed by later this summer, it will not be ready for vehicle parking until early Summer 2025! We are so lucky to have Keith on our team! Leaders like him do not come around often!
From overcoming adversity as a first-generation immigrant and college student to serving in the U.S. Army during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Keith K. Nguyen's journey is a testament to perseverance and a commitment to service. LPW Spotlight on Keith K. Nguyen: In his role as Interim City Manager at the City of Manassas Park, Keith K. Nguyen brings a wealth of experience that spans intelligence and security operations, financial management, entrepreneurship, project management, data analytics, foreign languages, and land use matters. His diverse skill set is a direct result of his unique life experiences. As a first-generation immigrant and first-generation college student, Nguyen faced numerous obstacles early on, but his determination to succeed propelled him forward. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Army, where he served honorably, including deployments to Iraq as a Tank Platoon Leader and Afghanistan as an ISR Collection Manager, ultimately achieving the rank of Major. Nguyen's military career taught him invaluable lessons in leadership, strategic thinking, and adaptability, which he now applies in his role as Interim City Manager.
