🚨 Attention, #SLOCity residents and visitors! The County Office of Emergency Services will perform a Siren Growl Test tomorrow, 7/23 and Wednesday, 7/24 at 12 p.m. This test will be conducted intermittently throughout the day. The siren test is conducted after inspection of local Early Warning System sirens to ensure their effectiveness in the event of an emergency. Although you may notice the sirens rotating or hear a low volume siren sound for a period of a few seconds, no action is required or requested on the part of the public during these tests. Should a siren continue to sound for more than a few seconds, tune into a local radio or television station for emergency information. During an emergency, sirens are sounded for a full three minutes. Additional information can be found at www.prepareslo.org. Call the County Office of Emergency Services at (805) 781-5678 for further questions.
