Let's End Homelessness Together!
About us
City Net is a team of nonprofit professionals committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness in the communities we serve by connecting neighbors experiencing homelessness to transformative care and innovative solutions that lead to housing. In many cases, we are contracted by cities and regions to lead multi-sector homeless collaboratives, which unite city and county agencies, law enforcement, non-profit organizations, businesses, advocacy groups, concerned citizens and the faith community in a singular effort to address and end homelessness in the community. The coordination of care among these groups results in shared goals and successes greater than the sum of the individual parts. When local needs require it, City Net deploys staff in direct service provision through street outreach and case management services. Street outreach seeks to connect unsheltered homeless neighbors with emergency shelter, housing, or critical services, and provide urgent, non-facility-based care. These activities are intended to help homeless neighbors obtain appropriate supportive services, including permanent housing, medical and mental health treatment, counseling, supervision, and other services essential for achieving independent living, case management, and other federal, state, local, or private assistance available to assist the program participant in obtaining housing stability. City Net also works to mobilize community resources, including meals, volunteers, donations and advocacy, to coordinate care in emergency shelters, parks, and other public areas where homeless neighbors live. These efforts seek to reduce wasteful duplication and fill missing gaps in the continuum of care, with the long-term goal of ending homelessness by providing homeless neighbors a stable context in which their emergency needs are met, so they can work on sustainable housing plans. City Net is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, a dba of Kingdom Causes, Inc. Federal Tax ID 57-1162424.

Such a great day of celebration. With the generous support of the Anaheim Community Foundation, we were able to deploy this Safe Space mobile unit that will serve some of the cities most vulnerable populations. Bravo to all involved! #anaheim #anaheimcommunityfoundation #homelessness

This is David. I asked David why he chooses to do this work. This is what he said. "I serve those experiencing homelessness because I believe in embracing life's struggles. My own personal struggles. Our clients struggles and our staff's struggles. By honestly embracing our struggles together we learn, we grow and we form a sense of community. That sense of community is integral to keeping us tethered to a purposeful life." We are grateful for you David. You inspire us all.

This is James. James is recently retired from the education sector. James is certainly not one to lounge around. He is an impactful leader at every level. James envisioned, planned , and launched a twelve step program in partnership with a City Net tiny home village in the Sacramento region that is producing remarkable outcomes. The note below was from his last post meeting report. "10 of 13 hands up for sobriety Friday night! Great speaker! Also, one of our guests was SUPER excited because she jut got a job! It was wonderful to see her smile! Three chips awarded!" Bravo James!

In case you missed it... We partnered with one of the authors of “When We Walk By”, Kevin Adler, to offer an excerpt from this book. Download the excerpt and receive a promotional discount by clicking on the link here: https://lnkd.in/gdsiVKad The views expressed in this book are that of the authors. City Net encourages a wide range of perspectives when considering unhoused homelessness. When We Walk By, is a fantastic addition to the conversation.

This is Arthur in the green hoodie. He is the case manager for one of our tiny home villages. He and the rest of the team have placed nearly 40 people into housing, they have 20 more ready to be placed when housing comes available. He is passionate, smart, and really good at what he does. We are honored to have him on the City Net team.

This is why we do what we do... I got to share the evening with Martha yesterday. She is a resident at one of our tiny home villages. To say that her story was profound would be a gross understatement. She and her daughter are working toward securing housing with the assistance of the City Net team. I will not soon forget this courageous mother.
