The city of Las Vegas was founded on May 15, 1905 and is home to more than 594,000 residents. The largest city in Nevada, Las Vegas is governed by Mayor Shelley Berkley and six city council members. Las Vegas Municipal Court Supports Veterans With Resources Event 🇺🇸✨ Supporting our Veterans! ✨ We teamed up at the Veterans Stand Up event to connect our community heroes with the resources they deserve. The auction for the 50-acre Cashman site resulted in two bids. The high-bidder was national homebuilder Lennar, registered as Greystone LLC, for $36,150,000. At the March 19 City Council meeting, there will be an agenda item for the City Council to vote to accept the high bidder or reject all bids. Before the City Council meeting, Lennar plans to meet individually with each City Council member to discuss their proposed development plan for the site. As part of the auction terms, the city and Lennar will negotiate a purchase and sale agreement, including a timeline to secure land use entitlements and a closing date.
