It takes an amazing team working behind the scenes to put together municipal budget each year for both the council and the public to consider. Thank you to the City of Nampa's finance team for all their hard work! You are appreciated! And thank you to the Nampa City Council for your time as well through this approval process! We are committed to being transparent and trustworthy with the community we serve!

The City of Nampa’s budget workshop has begun (watch live or later at https://lnkd.in/gZqMFvQa) and we wanted to highlight our Finance Department for their hard work over the past several months to prepare 466 pages of the proposed FY 2025 budget! Thank you also to the Nampa City Council for their work to discuss the proposed budget today (and possibly tomorrow, if needed) and then vote on the budget after the public hearing on August 19. We had an exciting morning celebrating the progress at Nampa's Wastewater Treatment Facility today! The City of Nampa was joined by Governor Brad Little, the Idaho Department of Water Resources and many others to learn about and the funding received and water re-use pipeline being installed. Once completed, it will divert 11 million gallons of Class A recycled water into our irrigation system starting Spring 2025!

In honor of World Town Planning Day (November 8), and to help educate the businesses and residents of Nampa, the City of Nampa’s Planning and Zoning Department is launching A Citizen’s Guide to Planning. The guide is focused on the purpose of the planning profession and how plans and codes are created, along with key planning principles everyone should know. For the next 12 months, additional topics will be added to The Citizen’s Guide to Planning. Readers can look forward to learning about matters such as the comprehensive plan, the public hearing process, and housing types and affordability, along with other topics. It is the goal of Nampa’s Planning and Zoning Department to inform the public on what planning is, the importance of good planning, and help citizens understand how they can get involved in the planning process. The first issue, and future issues, of A Citizen’s Guide to Planning can be accessed here (https://lnkd.in/eXqGNhkf) and the accompanying short videos can be watched here (https://lnkd.in/e68QecAx).
