Pictured left to right, Westerville Electric Division (WED) Business Manager Tara Trigg, Mayor Kenneth L. Wright, Electric Utility Manager Chris Monacelli and Electrical Engineering Manager Mike Pope pose during the Oct. 1 Council meeting, after Mayor Wright proclaimed Sunday, Oct. 6 - Saturday, Oct. 12 as National Public Power Week. Trigg accepted the proclamation on behalf of WED, and reflected upon what it means to be a public power utility. “Westerville Electric has been neighborly to its businesses and residents for more than 126 years. We offer safe, reliable and affordable electricity, but our neighborly mission doesn’t stop there,” said Trigg. “We have also served neighbors in New York, Texas, Florida, South Carolina, the Navajo Nation and all over the Midwest. We serve our neighbors in good times and in bad. This is what public power utilities do; we’re neighborly.” Visit https://lnkd.in/g8p2TpX2 to learn about WED, the only municipally owned and operated suburban electrical provider in central Ohio.
