We are working diligently along with Redhous Architecture and Civil Design Concepts, PA to prepare the new French Broad River Academy Girls School project to start later this fall. This project will replace the modular campus with a permanent structure for the girls school. We will be sending out the project for trade partner pricing mid-October so be on the lookout if you are an interested bidder. #BGBuilt #Construction

We were proud to be a sponsor of the JT Poston Invitational Collegiate Golf Tournament at Waynesville Inn and Golf Club this past weekend. CDC not only had the privilege of working on the renovation at WIGC recently, but we also got to see a lot of our friends from WCU, as they were the host team. After almost a month of being away, I would like to finally put a cap on the amazing experience that Civil Design Concepts, PA, a civil/site engineering consultancy, was able to provide for me. Starting in February of last year, Civil Design Concepts (CDC) provided me, a then-high school senior, with the amazing opportunity of working as a Spring civil/site design intern. The amount of trust this required was remarkable. After a few months of hard work, I was eventually offered the chance to stay through the Summer. This experience was able to elevate and strengthen my understanding of my career goals and how hard work plays a role in success. In this role, I took on infrastructure-based design for site design projects. I was able to gain valuable skills in Civil 3d, Autocad, GIS software, the FRIS database, and more. The main project I focused on, a new NC middle school, allowed me to hone my skills through the disciplines. Working on a large site (~70 acres) allowed me to understand how large-scale and small-scale aspects of a project play into each other. Overall, the support I was offered by coworkers, supervisors, and managers carried me through an initially daunting role. Considering this was my first full-time job, it established the importance of communication and assistance in the modern workplace. Once again, I am incredibly grateful for the trust and support that the CDC was able to provide, it has left a truly memorable mark on my career!

Civil Design Concepts had a fantastic time sponsoring and participating in the Swing for the Kids Golf Tournament last week at the beautiful Waynesville Inn & Golf Club! We're thrilled to share that our team played their hearts out and took home the low net score! This event wasn't just about the golf; it was about giving back to our community. The tournament supports the First United Methodist Church of Waynesville's Afterschool Program, which provides a safe, supervised space for middle school and high school students in Haywood County. The program continues to grow, helping more students every year, and we're proud to play a part in that mission.
