OVER 35 YEARS BASED IN THE HEART OF SILICON VALLEY Located in San Jose, the Capital of Silicon Valley, Civil Engineering Associates has been providing efficient and responsible land development services since 1983. The strength of any consulting firm is founded in the people who work there. We are very proud of the team we have built and the relationships and processes we have developed. We have been operating with largely the same core staff for decades and we pride ourselves on minimal turnover and extensive internal communication across all phases of projects. The lessons learned over those 3 decades have been passed along through the years and have guided CEA to the firm it is today. These principles developed by the founders Peter McMorrow and Don Utz are as present today as they were when the company began. We are proud of the combined successes we share with our Clients and look forward to the opportunity to build upon those experiences.

Another exciting project for the City Of San Jose! Civil Engineering Associates, Inc. is excited to be a part of this project and part of the future of downtown. Great work team!
We are thrilled to announce our plans for Gateway Tower, a 220-unit affordable housing development in the heart of San Jose's SoFA district. This project will also feature 3,800 square feet of retail space and serve as the gateway to downtown San Jose. In honoring our city’s heritage, we plan to integrate historic elements of the existing buildings into the design, fostering a seamless blend of old and new in this pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. This exciting project is made possible by the County of Santa Clara and essential Measure A funds. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
