A not-for-profit solely dedicated to mental health care for children ages 3-17. We heal young minds and hearts.
About us
Clarity Child Guidance Center exists to transform the lives of children and families. We are the only nonprofit treatment center in San Antonio and South Texas that specializes in children ages 3-17 who suffer from serious mental health problems. Our inpatient and outpatient programs include a range of services, from crisis stabilization, to psychiatric evaluations, to ongoing therapy. We have the region's largest staff of children's mental health professionals at our three, family friendly campuses and several satellite locations. As a United Way agency, we provide greatly needed mental health care for children who could not otherwise afford to receive treatment. Our mission is to help children, adolescents, and families overcome the disabling effects of mental illness and improve their ability to function successfully at home, at school, and in the community

That’s a wrap🎬 My third year to attend #ClarityCon2024, sharing the exciting work that O'Connell Robertson has done and is gearing up to do with Clarity Child Guidance Center, was nothing short of extraordinary! Over the last three years I’ve had the incredible fortune to be fully immersed in healthcare design (my happy place🤗) and this year was particularly meaningful because I found that I was able to genuinely connect, more than ever, with our clinicians, counselors, educators, social workers, professors, researchers, mentors, advocates… those that are on the frontlines everyday making a difference in our communities. The passion and drive that I felt from everyone is inexplainable. The fact that there exists such a platform to have purposeful conversations about the state of Behavioral and Mental Health, the successes and battles of today and the anticipated endeavors of tomorrow- but most motivating, the possibilities for the way that we as a society can apprach BMH in a more dignified, respectful and kind manner, is an honor to be a small part of. Well done Clarity! Congratulations on another successful year! And thank you for allowing us to be a part of your story❤️ #mentalhealthmatters #letstalkaboutthis #behavioralhealth #mentalhealth #dignity #respect #understanding

Our incredible school counselor, Heidi Johnson, spent the last two days at Clarity Con, a children’s mental health conference hosted by Clarity Child Guidance Center. She attended sessions on adolescent brain development, research & strategies to help children and adolescents with emotional self-regulation, and solution-focused counseling. Heidi also had the privilege of listening to Delaney Ruston, MD. speak about screen time and young minds and how that relates to mental health. Dr. Ruston wrote the film Screenagers which talks about the impact of screens and social media on youth. We love seeing our Winston team's dedication to lifelong learning and are looking forward to hearing all the new insights Heidi gained this week! #WSSA #WeBelong #SummerAtWinston #SummerEaglesFly #ClarityCon2024
