Exciting transformations are underway at Kingsessing Recreation Center! Clemens Construction is revitalizing this 9.2-acre public park and 32,000 SF recreation center for Rebuild PHL, a historic investment in Philadelphia communities. Interior renovations include accessibility upgrades, lifts, elevators, toilet rooms, and new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Exterior upgrades include improved stormwater management, an artificial turf field, new playground equipment, lighting, landscaping, and enhanced court surfaces, pathways, and safety surfaces. Clemens Special Projects Division recently completed Phase 1 renovations for the Starfinder Foundation, a sports-based youth development organization that uses soccer to inspire social change and transform the lives of youth from underserved neighborhoods in the Philadelphia region. We are proud to have contributed our construction services, providing new restrooms and changing rooms, refreshed back-of-house spaces, and new exterior stairs.

Earlier this week, ATKIN OLSHIN SCHADE ARCHITECTS and the University of Pennsylvania led a guided tour of the extensive College Hall revitalization project for SCUP (The Society for College and University Planning). Clemens Construction was thrilled to host the group and share the recent progress on this one of a kind historic restoration project.

Transforming a piece of history! Clemens is excited to lead the way in converting this 18-story office building at 17th and Market St into a stunning 325-unit multifamily residence for Alterra Property Group. We are currently removing all existing windows, reinforcing the limestone facade connection to the building structure, and carefully cutting the stone to make room for larger operable window units. From a complete interior gut and residential fit-out to new plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems we’re modernizing every detail.
