Cleveland Clinic’s Dr. Keith McCrae saw a patient with a rare blood disorder that had no available treatment. This sparked his research to find a solution! Dr. McCrae recently led a clinical trial supported by The National Institutes of Health, showing that the immunomodulatory drug pomalidomide is both safe and effective for treating hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). While this is great progress, there’s still much to learn about the disease. Dr. McCrae plans to continue his work on HHT: https://lnkd.in/gPfVXbJ3 #ClevelandClinic #BloodDisorder #Hematology
